This year’s Classic Albums X-Mas concert will be happening on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Croatian National Home, 6 Broadway, Welland. This is the 12th year that this event has been held in support of the Hope Centre and it will be the biggest show to date.

This is a one-time only opportunity to hear these specific Classic Rock albums from the 80’s & 90’s played by local musicians from across Niagara. The albums that will be played in their entirety are Van Halen’s 1984, Green Day’s Dookie, Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill, and Incubus’s Make Yourself.

This group of musicians has been hosting the Classic Albums X-Mas show, in support of The Hope Centre, for 12 years and has covered over 42 albums during that time. The organizing committee consists of Kelly Jones, Pierre Hasapogiannis, Bob Casler and Andrew Danch.

“The musicians involved have been playing gigs together for 25 years in different bands. As they have gotten older, they have been creating opportunities to play together and to give back to the community,” said Kelly Jones, organizing committee member. “Plus, we are giving homage to classic albums we have always enjoyed.”

“We chose to support the Hope Centre because they provide services to the entire Welland community,” said Jones. “Food security has the most immediate impact, and it will go directly to help those in our community.”

“Third-party events not only help to raise funds for our organization, but they also help raise awareness about our programs and services that are available for any individual or family living in Welland that struggles to meet their basic needs,” said Jennifer Sinclair, Community Engagement Coordinator.  “We are grateful for this group of local musicians who choose to donate their time and talent to support The Hope Centre.”
