The beloved Classic Albums Christmas Concert returns on Saturday, December 13 at the Croatian National Home, 6 Broadway, Welland. Now in its 14th year, the event continues to grow in generosity and community spirit. After raising more than $4,000 last year for The Hope Centre, this year’s goal has been set at $4,500.
This one-night-only concert brings together talented musicians from across Niagara to perform iconic classic rock albums. This year’s band lineup includes a Door Crasher Acoustic Set by Malice in Chains playing Alice in Chains Unplugged, Big Banging Babies playing Stone Temple Pilots Hits of Core/Purple, Three Dollar Dontch Y’all playing Limp Bizkit Three Dollar Bill Y’all, Partially Completely playing Tragically Hip Fully Completely and Sharron!! playing hits of Black Sabbath and Ozzy.
For more than a decade, the Classic Albums X-Mas group has performed in support of The Hope Centre, covering more than 50 classic albums and raising vital funds for the community. The organizing committee includes Kelly Jones, Pierre Hasapogiannis, Bob Casler, Serena Pryne and Andrew Danch.
“This event started as a chance for longtime friends to get together and play the music we love, and it has grown into something truly meaningful for the community,” said Kelly Jones, organizing committee member. “Every year the momentum builds, and with this year’s lineup, we’re expecting our biggest crowd yet.”
“We’re proud to support The Hope Centre because their work touches every corner of Welland,” Jones added. “We see firsthand how many people are facing real challenges in our community, and using our music to help make a difference feels like the right thing to do.”
The Hope Centre recognizes the event as an important source of support—both financial and community-driven. “Events like this not only help raise critical funds for our programs but also shine a light on the services available to individuals and families who are struggling,” said Jennifer Sinclair, Community Engagement Coordinator at The Hope Centre. “We’re incredibly grateful to this dedicated group of musicians for continuing to share their time, talent, and heart with our community.”
