Christmas, Back-to-School and Income Tax SupportWe offer seasonal support programs to assist individuals and families living in Welland that are facing financial hardship.
Back-to-School Program
A few weeks before school starts, our back-to-school program aims to provide children with sneakers, a backpack, and healthy snacks to return to school for a happy and successful year.
Christmas Support Program
A few weeks before Christmas, we provide grocery vouchers to singles and couples, or families with children 16 years or older. Gift cards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, until supplies run out.
The Salvation Army Welland provides Christmas support for families with children under the age of 15.
Income Tax Clinic
During the month of April, The Hope Centre provides free tax clinics for basic returns. The volunteer who works in this program can file up to 2 years of previous basic income tax returns.
