Food Bank Donations

More people than ever are facing food insecurity in our community with close to 1 in 10 Wellanders accessing our food bank in 2023. We rely on donations from the community to help fill our shelves so we can provide food to our neighbours in need.

Non-perishable food staples and hygiene items can be dropped off at The Hope Centre, 570 King Street, Welland. Please Note: We are not able to accept clothing items or toys due to limited storage capacity.

Community Lunch Donations

Donations of fresh and frozen food support our community lunch program. Our take-out community lunch is served Monday to Friday. We do our best to provide a fully nutritious meal. Donations are always needed to sustain this program.

We serve an average of 450 lunches every week.

Most Needed Items

Fresh fruits and vegetables

Frozen foods: meat and proteins

Loaves of Bread

Dairy products: milk and cheese

Please ensure the food is transported safely according to public health guidelines. We have a walk-in refrigerator and freezer to safely store fresh and frozen products.

We are grateful for the amazing relationships that we have with various volunteer and church groups along with local restaurants who provide food and/or prepare food in our kitchen.

If you are a local restaurant or community group that is interested in partnering with us please contact us and ask to speak with Gina, our Food Security Coordinator.
