Psychotherapy is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental, emotional, and spiritual health. At Return2Hope Counselling we offer psychotherapy to individuals who are experiencing a serious disturbance to their thoughts, feelings, moods, and behaviours that negatively affects their day-to-day lives. Psychotherapy occurs when the therapist and client enter into a psychotherapeutic relationship where both work together using techniques specific to the field. The goal is to bring about positive change in the client’s thinking, feeling, behaviour and social functioning.
The Psychotherapist will discuss with you the benefits, risks and expected outcomes of the treatment. The client’s informed consent is required before therapy begins and whenever additional therapeutic interventions may be helpful to meet the clients’ goals.
We also offer supportive counselling for clients who do not wish to engage in psychotherapy.
